OC Big Brothers Big Sisters Gourmet Dinner Charity Event

October 18th, 2020 by

As with everything in 2020 adjustments were made to make sure this was a very limited and safe event. With space being added thanks to the Balboa Bay Club in Newport, the number of guests being reduced to provide even more space for those attending, temperatures checked at the door, and masks required when not eating or taking a photo all the precautions were taken. Making sure that everyone is safe at the event while still being able to hold events to raise money for such programs is very important.

This year the event highlighted Todd Pickup for all his contributions to Big Brothers Big Sisters over the years. Todd and his family own/operate the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach California. The Balboa Bay Club is located in one of the most beautiful, most sought after locations anywhere in the world in an area known just as much for yachts as it is high end foreign vehicles.

Big Brothers Big Sisters delivers 1 to 1 mentoring to kids facing adversity in their life using various programs developed by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and The Inland Empire. They provide the training, resources and support necessary for each kid and their Big Brother / Big Sister match to succeed.  Donations from the public and through events such at the Gourmet Dinner help raise funds to continue these programs. Now more than ever these programs are important to help out those young kids who need a mentor slash big brother/big sister to help through 2020. Sterling BMW is proud to be a proud support of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and The Inland Empire.

The value of connection between a child and a mentor cannot always be easily measured right away but they have a life long impact. For more information on Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and The Inland Empire click here to follow the link to their website!
