Lunar New Year 2023: Lion Dancers and 7 Series Launch in Orange County

Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year or Spring Festival, is the most important traditional holiday in China. It typically falls between January 21st and February 20th (based on the Chinese lunar calendar), and is a time for families to gather and celebrate the end of the previous year and the beginning of the new one. The holiday is characterized by traditional customs such as decorating the home with red lanterns and banners, giving red envelopes filled with money to children, and eating dumplings. The exact date of Chinese New Year changes each year based on the lunar calendar. The main traditional activities are family reunion dinner, giving red packets, dragon and lion dance, and fireworks.
