3 Series & X5 LED Tail Lamp Retrofit
One of the most recognizable visual enhancements to new X5 and 3 Series, are their upgraded LED tail lamps. These tail lamps are now available to update the look of older models.
This upgrade does not utilize a retrofit kit, but rather the standard service parts, in conjunction with necessary retrofit coding and an adapter harness (3 Series only). This retrofit is also available for M3 and X5M models.
Similar aftermarket solutions may not function properly as the vehicles would not be coded to be compatible with the lower power requirement of LED's. This could lead to "Bulb Check" warning lights, and flickering of the tail lamps on start-up.
